Foliate patterned endpapers. Some very light tape burns to endpapers. Spine lightly sunned, with some rubbing and a few marks to cloth. Very good. One of just 2000 copies of this novel set during the first Boer War, described by Haggard subsequently as "a living record of our shame in South Africa." Item #56492
