Publisher's navy cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper, light blue typographic dust-jacket, priced at 7/6 to spine. Jacket toned to grey, and heavily rubbed to spine. A number of chips and closed tears to edges. Very good. Probably MacDiarmid's best known collection, and one the most significant modernist poems of the early twentieth century, sitting comfortably alongside Eliot's 'The Waste Land' (1922). Item #56357
