Publisher's orange cloth with black titles to spine. Light spotting to endpapers. Upper board slightly bowed; some wear to cloth. Very good. First published in Norwegian in 1928. Arnesen was a Norwegian journalist who accompanied both early attempts to cross the Arctic in an airship in 1926 and 1928, led by Roald Amundsen and Umberto Nobile. The second attempt was a disaster which resulted in a huge rescue mission, and the death of the great explorer Amundsen. Item #56093
