With the following points: 'Dead Man's Chest' not capitalised on p. 2; No 'a' on p. 63 line 6; number '7' missing from the pagination on p.127; p.178 line 20 no full stop after 'opportunity'; p.197 line 3 'worse' for 'worst'. In recent full green calf, spine gilt-lettered in six compartments with raised bands, gilt border to sides, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt. Contents with some acceptable thumbing/marking, no chips, tears or defects, half-title with some spotting and a contemporary ink note, binding fine. A serviceable and inexpensive copy of an absolute classic. The definitive pirate novel. Without this novel many of the hallmarks of piracy and piratical behaviour in literature would disappear without a trace. Item #55908
