Liberally illustrated with more than 150 engravings, including a frontispiece and decorated title page. In later green half calf with raised bands, gilt titles to burgundy label on spine, and green cloth over boards. All edges and endpapers marbled. A few occasional minor spots to leaves. Light pencil ownership to first blank. Corners lightly bumped with some rubbing to spine. Spine and corners gently re-coloured in places. Very good. Published just one year after the US First Edition, this is considered the best of the early illustrated editions. Item #55846
