With 46 engraved plates, including folding maps of the county, and of Chichester. Some plates hand-coloured. Contemporary or lightly later tan half calf with gilt titles to contrasting red and black labels to spine, further gilt tooling to spine, and marbled paper over boards. All edges and endpapers marbled. Lacking the frontispiece and vignette title page. Typed ownership label to front flyleaf. A tear to the join of the county map. Occasional light browning and spotting. Heavy rubbing and bumping to binding. Very good. Few if any copies in this series seem to have been issued with all 50 plates as advertised.
