With 16 double-sided black and white photographic plates including a frontispiece, as well as a folding map at rear. INSCRIBED by the author in blue ink to flyleaf: 'For Victoria Durham | with love from the author, | Andrew Graham.' With an obituary cutting from the Times pasted below. Also with the bookplate of the recipient to pastedown, and the highly decorative front panel of the dust-jacket pasted to rear pastedown. Publisher's red cloth with gilt titles to spine. Spotting to edges, endpapers and preliminaries. Very good. Essentially a travel book, written up from the author's impression during his involvement in the First Indochina War (1946-1954). Inscribed by the author to Victoria Townshend Durham, of Raynham Hall, Norfolk. Item #55509
