Publisher's wraps printed in red and black with printed price of 1' net. Stapled twice to spine. Three page introduction followed by forty-four full page cartoons with captions. Ink ownership to title page which has offset to the facing inside cover, rust to staple, paper stock toned. Lightly handled to extremities with some marks to the covers. A rare survival of a fragile production. Near fine. Armengol was born into a wealthy textile manufacturing family in Catalonia but turned to art rather than business, he produced posters and other propaganda work for the Republican side in the Spanish Civil War after which he ended up in a French internment camp, to avoid being returned to Francoist Spain he joined the French Foreign Legion and took part in the Narvik campaign and then the Battle for France, following evacuation to England he laid down his gun for the pencil.
