Second printing of this edition, the first being 1873. Publisher's gilt-pictorial green cloth hardcovers, coated brown endpapers. Contents very clean, bookplate (partially removed) to pastedown, discreet ownership stamp to rear, cloth is a little shelfworn but rather clean and bright. A near fine copy. A very early printing of Verne's first book; the fully-illustrated Boston edition followed the New York edition of 1869, which contained only six plates. Item #55212
