An account of the Labour MP's battle for re-selection in the face of opposition from Militant Tendency and reflections on his time as a constituency MP. With a postscript on the front flap of the wrapper announcing his resignation from his parliamentary seat in July 1986. A political career seemingly brought to a premature end, although of course later resurrected phoenix-like in the service of UKIP and then Veritas. From the Library of Lord and Lady Moynihan, purchased by Hall's Bookshop, Tunbridge Wells. Baron Moynihan is an Olympic medallist, prominent Conservative MP, being the Minister for Sport under Mrs Thatcher, and the Chairman of the British Olympic Association.
