The Mirror Crack'd From Side To Side. Agatha CHRISTIE, Dame.

The Mirror Crack'd From Side To Side.

London: Collins, for the Crime Club, 1962. [Crime novel] FIRST EDITION. Octavo (19 x 13cm), pp.256. Red cloth with gilt titles to spine, lime green dust-wrapper with red, white and black titles to front cover and spine, publisher's advert for 'The Pale Horse' to rear, priced at 15s. A little dustiness to text block, remnants of bookseller ticket to pastedown, and some light spotting. Jacket with a few minor marks and toning to spine. Overall a clean, bright copy. Very Good. A Miss Marple mystery, set in the sleepy village of St. Mary Mead, which seems throughout the years to have been the venue of more carnage than Cheapside during the Black Death. Basis for the all-star movie with Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, Tony Curtis, Angela Lansbury, Kim Novak, Edward Fox, and in a very early uncredited role, Pierce Brosnan. This novel was dedicated to Margaret Rutherford, who was the first actress to bring Miss Marple to life on the big screen. Item #53993
