Tipped in colour frontispiece, profusely illustrated throughout. Nine line drawings by Beatrix Potter used to accompany a verse collection entitled A Frog he would a fishing go. Recased with reinforcement to the hinges, prize bookplate dated December 1896 to pastedown, small closed tear to frontispiece, textblock marked and soiled, some tears and edge loss to a few margins. Boards worn and rubbed with some chipping to corners, small area of surface loss to centre of upper board. A rare early appearance of Beatrix Potter's work. Good. Item #53913
