Publisher's blue cloth with gilt titles to spines and blind decoration to upper boards. Top edges gilt. With the illustrated dust-jackets priced at 1s. Faint ink inscription to recto of both frontispieces reading: 'November 4th 1913.' Small chips and closed tears to jacket edges and a small area of loss to the spine panel of volume I. Remarkably crisp, clean examples in bright jackets, very rarely seen thus. Near fine. Scott's detailed record of the first expedition in the Heroic Age of Edwardian Antarctic exploration (1901-04).
