With frequent in-text wood engravings by the Dalziel Brothers after illustrations by Gilbert, and a frontispiece etching of the author. Contemporary green full panelled calf with raised bands, gilt titles to red label on spine, and further gilt decoration to spine. Marbled boards; all edges gilt. Blue ink ownership to flyleaf. Quite heavily spotted in places. An old tape repair to pp.79/80. Small tears to pp.63-70. A tear to pp.107/8. Spine sunned; a little light external wear. Very good. Item #52902
