In contemporary navy full morocco with raised bands, gilt titles and decoration to spine, and gilt panelled decoration to boards with the initials B.M.T. stamped to upper board. Marbled endpapers; all edges gilt. Light spotting and browning. Some rubbing to binding; re-colouring to spine and outer edges. Very good. Begun in 1859, Tennyson's classic exploration of the legend of King Arthur originally consisted of four poems titled 'Enid', Vivien', 'Elaine' and 'Guinevere', eventually building to 12 poems by 1885. This edition additionally features 'The Holy Grail', 'Pelleas and Ettarre', 'The Coming of Arthur' and 'The Passing of Arthur'. Item #52894
