An enthusiastically written series of vignettes from Andersen's travels in Sweden, with chapters focusing not only on particular regions, but also particular topics, including 'Grandmother', 'Beggar-Boys', 'The Puppet-Showman' and 'The Midsummer Festival in Lacksand'.
