Pp.381-408, Extracted from the above Proceedings, with large fold-out map printed in colour. Bound circa 1930s in blue cloth titled in gilt to front cover, drab pink endpapers. Fine throughout, with map in exceptional condition (discreet marginal blindstamp of Chelsea Public Library). This original account of the British explorer's epic journey was considerably expanded upon and published in book-form four years later under the title Travels in Arabia Deserta, containing a similar map to the one shown here. After slow public recognition, the book achieved status as a classic. Item #51900
