Publisher's printed softcover wraps, illustrated throughout with reproduction of black and white photographs. Some slight toning to the covers, slightly rubbed to spine ends. Fine. Published to accompany a major retrospective of photographs taken by Mayne on Southam Street between 1956 and 1961. Mayne documented late fifties London and his evocative images were used for various dust-jackets, notably Absolute Beginners by Colin MacInnes and The Lore and Language of Schoolchildren by Iona and Peter Opie. His images where later used by the singer Morissey for a number of record sleeves and promotional items. Item #51411
