Werwolves. Elliot O'DONNELL.

London: Methuen and Co. Ltd., 1912. [Lycanthropy] FIRST EDITION. Octavo (20 x 14cm), pp.vi; [2]; 292; [38 of publisher's advertisements, (some leaves unopened)]. Publisher's red cloth, gilt titles and rules to spine and upper board, blue typographic dust-jacket priced at 5/- net to spine. Some very light toning to endpapers and to textblock, a couple of tiny splits to same at the gutter, top edge a little dusty. Cloth fresh and bright, lightly pushed to spine ends, rubbed slightly to corners. Dust-jacket shows very well, small scuff to bottom right of front panel, spine a little toned, some rubbing and nicking to top and bottom edges. Scarce in jacket. Near fine. A surprisingly scholastic examination of the werwolf history and legend, much in the vein of the Reverend Montague Summers and his explorations into vampires. Item #51289
