London: Cresset Press, 1955. INSCRIBED First Edition in English. Octavo (19 x 12cm), pp.95 [1]. INSCRIBED by the translator, Vyvyan Holland, to the author, publisher and critic Alec Waugh in blue ink to front free endpaper: 'For Alec / who knows / far more / about this / subject than / any of us / from Vyvyan / april 24. 1956.' Publisher's grey cloth with gilt titles to spine and blue box on upper board. Tobacco scent; spine toned. Very good. Written by one of Greene's mistresses, and translated from the original French by Oscar Wilde's son Vyvyan.
