Publisher's russet cloth on bevelled boards, titles in gilt to spine and upper board, blocked in black and gilt to same, coated dark blue endpapers. The author's second novel, seemingly scarce with only six copies showing on Worldcat. Later gift inscription to verso of flyleaf, bibliographical note about the author in a different hand to half title page. Textblock marginally toned, some marking to edges. Some mottling to the cloth, spine ends and corners slightly pushed and rubbed, spine a touch darkened, a few scuffs to board edges. An attractive copy. Very good. Item #51063
