Not to be confused with his more illustrious son, Isambard Kingdom Brunel of Great Western Railway and SS. Great Britain fame. Marc Isambard was also a distinguished civil engineer, best remembered for the construction of the Thames Tunnel - supposedly the first tunnel to be successfully constructed under a river.
