Sindbad (Sinbad) the Sailor, and Other Stories From the Arabian Nights.

London: Hodder and Stoughton, no date [1914]. DULAC ILLUSTRATIONS. Quarto (29 x 23cm), pp.223; [1]. Bound in publisher's brown cloth, extensively decorated, with a gilt scene of Sinbad sailing a ship against a palace replete with minarets, gilt titles in faux-Arabic script to front board and spine; blue floral endpapers. Twenty three stunning colour plates, mounted, with captioned tissues. Some spotting to edges and extremities, marginal soilmark to lower corner of text block, binding is very presentable with a little wear only. Dulac's colour plate illustrations capture perfectly the exotic narratives of the folk hero known as Sinbad the Sailor. Each page is beautifully ornamented with floral and geometric panelling.
