With a chromolithographic illustration facing every page of text. Endpapers match plate II in Quinby; publisher's address given as 36 East 22d Street. Publisher's maroon paper-covered boards with white titles and a square chromolithographic illustration laid onto the upper board. Black ink gift inscription to front free endpaper, dated 1906, some dustiness to edges. Slight wear to board edges, some splits to joints. Very good. Quinby states this title was first printed in the US in October 1904, but only gives an example from circa 1908-10. Item #50617
