Publisher's brown blind-decorated cloth, recently re-backed with the original gilt titled spine cloth laid over. Yellow coated endpapers; all edges untrimmed. Armorial bookplate of Atkin-Roberts of Glassenbury, Kent, to front pastedown, with accompanying blue ink ownership inscription to front free endpaper. A small hole in the free endpaper. Corners a little bumped, cloth rubbed slightly to extremities. Very good. The first of two parts was originally published in Boston in 1843, with the complete edition appearing in 1844. Item #50289
