Single newspaper issue in pictorial wraps (41 x 29cm). Disbound or extracted from a hardcover with associated wear to the spine fold, chip/loss to head of same, some tears at fore-edge, single horizontal soft fold. Very good overall Also issued simultaneously in the British 'Strand Magazine', but this Harper's printing features alternative and exclusive illustrations (the UK printing carries the regular Sidney Paget drawings). Written and published by Doyle as 'The Adventure of the Reigate Squires', although the American title has always been 'The Reigate Puzzle', the genus 'Squire' being largely unfamiliar. Item #50172
