Frontispiece engraving to each volume. Bound in contemporary dark brown mottled calf, gilt titles on black morocco squares and gilt tooling to spine. All edges speckled red. Neat contemporary ownership inscription to the flyleaf in volumes two, three, and four. Textblocks are generally bright with just occasional light spotting a touch of toning to prelims. Some splitting to the endpapers along the gutter. Bindings show well, slightly rubbed to joints, corners a little bumped and rubbed. An unusual edition with only four copies showing on WorldCat.
