No half-title. Octavo, pp.xvi; 624. Contemporary brown full morocco, gilt titles and decoration to spine, gilt decorative border to border, coated brown endpapers, all edges gilt. Heavy spotting to plates and sporadic light spotting to textblock with the occasional mark. Binding rubbed and worn with gilt largely lost to spine. Very good. The first of Dickens' romances, it is perhaps most famous for its extraordinary and memorable villains, Wackford Squeers and Ralph Nickleby. Item #49104
