Travel writer ROBERT BYRON'S REFERENCE COPY with his pencil signature and annotations; Byron published 'An Essay on India' the same year. Original yellow card covers printed in black. Some expected rubbing and toning to extremities but generally near fine. Byron has marked up and underlined many references to 'Pariotism' and 'disloyalty' within the first 20 pages, thereafter his markings reduce. The final page contains several ms. notes, with references to Churchill, and the exclamation 'Rot'. An important political commentary. Item #48725
