With very occasional copper engravings, including a frontispiece to volume I. Contemporary brown speckled calf with raised bands and gilt titles to contrasting red and black labels to spines. All edges flecked red. Front free endpaper to vol. I coming loose. Moderate external wear, including some loss to labels bearing volume numbers. Head-caps pulled away; some joints just starting. A few small worm holes, not affecting text. Good overall, with excellent unblemished text blocks and high quality paper. Item #48188
