London: Eveleigh Nash, 1915. THE UNIFORM EDITION. AUTHOR'S FIRST BOOK. UNCOMMON. Octavo, pp.vii; 316. This uncommon copy of The Empty House is bound in publisher's navy cloth with gilt titles to spine. The book shows leaves of irregular width - a possible production fault which has led to a rather unusual presentation of the novel. Cloth in excellent condition, with limited wear to front and rear board. The spine is a little faded, with dulled titles. Endcaps pushed, with chips. The volume is slightly edgeworn, particularly at corners. Gilt title to upper remains bright. Text uniformally age toned, but certainly presentable. Publisher's advertisements to rear. Overall, an excellent copy. Another classic from the King of Ghost Stories. Mystical novel from a teller of ghostly tales. Item #47644
