Some spotting internally and to edges, mark to p.65. Booksellers ticket to pastedown "Angus and Robertson,... 89 Castlereagh St, Sidney". Binding neatly rebacked with the original cloth laid down to spine, a utilitarian binding, somewhat soiled, tide marks to the front boards with some transfer to the endpapers, rubbing to spine ends, with some minor fraying. An uncommon variant. This is the uncommon overseas first in a variant publisher's binding; usually seen in the light blue Longmans Colonial Library binding.
