With six full page plates, three colour and three b/w, including a colour frontispiece, as well as numerous in-text wood-cuts by various artists. In publisher's quarter blue cloth with colourful pictorial paper-covered boards featuring titles. Low quality paper-stock quite heavily browned as expected; pp.86-87 with additional stains. Binding a little weak. Some outer wear, especially to spine head and tail; tape and tape marks to fore edges. Good overall. Prolific children's author Charles Hamilton created the Greyfriars School, along with the now infamous character Billy Bunter, for 'The Magnet' in 1908. The Holiday Annual first appeared in anticipation of Christmas in 1919. Item #47389
