Credos and Curios.

London: Hamish Hamilton, 1962. FIRST UK EDITION. Octavo, pp.180. Bound in publisher's red cloth with titles and publisher's imprint in gilt to spine. Yellow dustjacket with illustrations by the author, titles in black and red to front cover and spine, clipped. Internally clean, with foxing just beginning to flyleaves, negligible tanning to margins. Binding is rubbed, bumped to corners, with a slight lean. Dustwrapper is rubbed and worn, with chips and tears to edges and at joints, minor loss to spine ends, a touch grubby. Compiled by his wife, Helen Thurber, after his death, this collection represents a summation of his final concerns. The blurb on the jacket characterises this work as containing "what he believed in, what he found funny and what, occasionally, he found sad" Item #45929
