With decorative headpieces. Original brown cloth pictorially stamped in gilt and black, coated black endpapers. Lightly browned with some pencil ruling to margins, in ownership to both volumes, light wear to spine tips. A very good pair, in a rather spell-binding binding. Frederick George Lee was Church of England priest and founded a clandestine Anglo-Papalist society, the Order of Corporate Reunion. He was believed to have been secretly consecrated as a bishop by Roman Catholic prelates whose names were concealed. Item #45254
