Some wear to edges, and end papers split at joints. Marbled edges faded. Book plate to front pastedown. Very good. Dickens regarded Chuzzlewit as his best work, and it is his final picaresque novel. Among its memorable cast of characters are Seth Pecksniff, the plagiarising architect, Mrs Gamp the matronly alcoholic, and the definitive patriarch, Old Martin Chuzzlewit. Item #44120
