London: William Heinemann, 1914. First Robinson Illustrated Edition. Quarto. Bound in recent half brown morocco, with raised bands and gilt titles to spine; top edge gilt; marbled endpapers, front board and spine of publisher's original green cloth binding with gilt titles bound in at rear. 8 full page colour illustrations by Charles Robinson, with captioned tissues. Numerous black and white drawings throughout. Binding is eminently presentable, with no signs of wear. Minor spotting to prelims, and to some tissue guards, but the colour plates remain clean, fresh, and bright. A "boysterious" copy of a "trifling chronicle" of pre-war life, it includes some of Robinson's most pictureseque work. Item #43133
