Zurich: David Gessner, 1704. Duodecimo. Bound in brown calf, blind panelling to boards, with raised bands to spine; top edge gilt, front and bottom edges red speckled; two brass clasps on leather thongs, an additionally fleur-de-lys brass stud to front board. Binding is worn, with gouges to spine and spine ends, some exterior hinge cracking; top edge gilt significantly tarnished. Clasps are tarnished and straps are flexible and robust, but show wear. Internally clean, except for age-consistent tanning and occassional blemishes; German, written in gothic script. Item #43113
