The front cover of pictorial dust wrapper shows a rapturous woman appealing to heaven, surrounded by the ten commandments and the ethereal vision of a man in military uniform; cover image is reproduced in miniature to spine, with titles, and rear cover displays florid tributes from Punch, The Times, and the Daily Mail. Binding is rubbed, with some bumping to top and tail of spine. Internally clean. Dust wrapper is bright, but shows some wear, particularly to front hinge and to edges.
