Publisher's original wine-coloured embossed cloth with titles in black to spine and upper; apparent secondary binding (a superior decorated black cloth gilt also exists). Internally sound and clean. A little foxing to the edges; light rubbing to extremities; owner's name blind stamped to f.f.e.p. A lovely copy. Headon Hill was the pseudonym of Francis Edmund Grainger (d.1929), writer of Scotland Yard procedurals. 'The Embassy Case' is an early espionage novel featuring Billy Fitz-Urse of the Foreign Office.
