London. Cassell. 1928. First Edition. 8vo. Publisher's blue cloth titled in gilt, clean fresh and bright with slight bumping to spine ends. Spotting to page edges, tiny nick to cloth at head of spine. Internally clean, very occasional light spotting. In bright, clean dustwrapper with some light edgewear and with four small triangles of loss to the spine ends that do not interfere with the text. Very scarce in wrapper, even more so in a wrapper this bright and attractive. A typically Rohmer-esque tale in which a 3000 year old Egyptian princess is brought back from a state of suspended animation to become the darling of New York high society. This is at least provides one explanation for the existence of Paris Hilton; 'divine retribution' is another that springs to mind. Item #32869
