Publisher's brown cloth with gilt titles to spine, and elaborate gilt decoration to spine and upper. Brown endpapers decorated in silver; all edges gilt. Black ink ownership to first blank. Shaken, with some weak gatherings. Some spotting to preliminary and final leaves. Heavy rubbing to cloth, with heavy toning to spine, starting joints, bumped corners, and abrasion to gilt. Good. The sixteenth of the 25 Lang Fairy Books, containing tales created from the traditional stories of Persia, India, Native Americans, Aboriginal Australians, the Bantu of South Africa, and the indigenous peoples of Finland and Brazil.
