Fly-leaves and frontispiece lost, with rough cloth strips applied to split hinges. Heavy thumbing, spotting and browning to edges and preliminaries / final leaves, with some juvenile pencil scribbling at rear. Cocked. Very heavy wear to cloth, especially spine, where titles are only faintly legible. Fair. Another one of Mr. Verne's forays into deep space, stuffed to the portholes with engraved plates depicting men in handlebar moustaches lurching about jungles on horseback and into orbit in a balloon.
