With 16 engraved plates, including a frontispiece. Publisher's red cloth stamped in black and gilt to spine and upper board. All edges untrimmed, black coated endpapers. Contents clean but for a little spotting to prelims, discreet owner stamp to half title. Binding handled, some sunning to extremities, rear panel a little soiled. Very good. An early Haggard novel and one of the author's more obscure works. Item #56927
