Canterbury: W. Bristow, 1797-1801. [Kent history] SECOND EDITION, REVISED AND ENLARGED. Twelve volumes, octavo (24 x 15 x 46cm). With 34 folding maps and 33 plates, (volume twelve lacking two plates). Solidly bound in brown quarter cloth over green cloth sides, gilt titles to spine. Modern bookplates to pastedown of each volume, and occasional pencil annotation. Some spotting and toning, but generally clean. Some small tears to maps with archival tape repairs, some maps folded a little off square. First six volumes trimmed, the final six left untrimmed and consequently they remain larger, but all volumes bound uniformly. Binding lightly handled, some bumping and rubbing to corners. A sound set of Hasted's history of Kent. Very good. Item #55490
