The Mirror Crack'd From Side To Side. Agatha CHRISTIE, Dame.

The Mirror Crack'd From Side To Side.

London: Published for the Crime Club by Collins, 1962. [Crime novel] FIRST EDITION. Octavo (19 x 13cm), pp.256. Publisher's red cloth with gilt titles to spine. With the lime green dust-jacket with red, white and black titles to front cover and spine. Publisher's advert for 'The Pale Horse' to rear; flap priced at 15s. Clean text block, discreet ink ownership to flyleaf, bookseller's ticket to rear pastedown, jacket toned to spine with one tiny chip at crown. Very good indeed. A Miss Marple mystery, set in the sleepy village of St. Mary Mead, which seems throughout the years to have been the venue of more carnage than Cheapside during the Black Death. Basis for the all-star movie with Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, Tony Curtis, Angela Lansbury, Kim Novak, Edward Fox, and in a very early uncredited role, Pierce Brosnan. This novel was dedicated to Margaret Rutherford, who was the first actress to bring Miss Marple to life on the big screen. Item #55126
